From zero customers to an established Central North Carolina agency
Jason Watkins opened his insurance agency in Sanford on October 1, 2002, at age 26. It was a true scratch agency: the business began with no existing customers.
Jason grew up in Chatham County and graduated from Chatham Central High School in 1994. His mother-in-law and brother-in-law were both insurance agents, and their encouragement helped inspire him to open an agency of his own.
During Jason's first year, he received Rookie of the Year recognition in the Southeast region. The agency has since earned multiple company awards and achieved Elite Agency status.

More than two decades later, Jason Watkins Agency has grown into an established insurance agency serving individuals, families, property owners and businesses throughout Sanford, Pittsboro, Lee County, Chatham County, Moore County and surrounding Central North Carolina communities.
Pittsboro and Chatham County have experienced significant growth over the years, and we are proud to serve many customers throughout the area Jason has called home since childhood. We also serve a substantial number of customers in neighboring Moore County, as well as customers throughout Harnett and Wake Counties and across North Carolina.

While we are proud of our growth and recognition, our purpose is still helping customers understand their insurance and make informed decisions about protecting what matters to them.
Insurance is not simply about finding a price. Coverage limits, deductibles, endorsements, discounts, replacement costs and liability protection can make a significant difference when a loss occurs. We examine the risks a customer faces and the assets they are trying to protect, then help explain coverage options that may be appropriate for their situation.
Our goal is not simply to sell a policy. It is to help customers understand their risks, recognize potential gaps in their insurance protection and make informed coverage decisions.
